Do you taking care of your face?

by Eva Jeannine Meloche

For many years, in fitness classes, I have observed some women who had a great body. When I looked at their face, I was surprise to see an older woman. So, why having a great body with an older face?

Selecting the best anti-aging skin care products worth the million we don't have...maybe we do! Growing older also means that collagen and elastin, both vital skin proteins, dimish. Collagen fibers provide the skin's firmness by creating a protein net; elastin fiber give it elasticity. Some anti-aging creams contain these ingredients

Avoiding beauty-robbing petrochemicals (xenoestrogen) as much as possibe is paramount, which means no artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, petrolatum or mineral oil, emulsifiers, and solvents on our cleansers, toners, serums, eye creams, day and night creams, facial masks, and moisterizers.

Your skin has a protective mantle known as the acid mantle. It is important to protect the natural acid mantle of your skin with proper pH-balanced that make your skin's acid mantle, which has a value between 4 to 6, generally taken as 5.5. For example, some natural beauty products contains cucumber and papaya which are close to your skin pH. Reverse Aging The Natural Way (II)

by Markus Skupeika

What contributes to premature aging?

Diet and lifestyle factors contribute to early aging, and Beth underscored the following as the culprits in hers.

1. Absence of vitamins and minerals in her diet - Free radicals lower the body's resistance against disease, and premature aging sets in when general health suffers. Vitamins and minerals in the diet are the body's watch dog against free radicals;

2. Lack of sleep - The body needs a minimum of eight hours sleep every day, and during this time the body heals itself. Looking good and feeling young can be direct results of a good night's sleep.

3. Little water intake - The body needs lots of water to re-hydrate and wash itself of toxins.

4. Giving in to simple "pleasures" - Excessive alcohol intake and smoking are often regarded as the "youth busters" duo.

5. Too much sun -- the sun's ultra violet rays have damaging effects on the skin, such as causing darker skin pigmentation, dryness, rough texture; prolonged exposure may cause cancer!

Staying young the natural way, perfectly!

Exercise! Stroke, high blood pressure and heart ailments are becoming the "signs" of the times. The death toll is steadily increasing every year, due to these ailments or their complications. To avoid the rise in your blood pressure, or to retard the symptoms of a heart ailment, it is advisable to take up brisk walking or swimming, again.

Cardiovascular exercises promote a healthy heart, and strong lungs. These exercises guarantee the elimination of unwanted pounds, naturally - without painful injections, surgery, or dieting.

As you build muscles by lifting weights, fat is naturally burned. When your body perks up to daily exercise, you will be amazed at the results: you won't look haggard, your skin will have the color of health on it....you would look great!

Cultivate the habit of thinking positively. A merry heart does not dry the bones.

After 6 months on the gym, Beth looked at her image on the mirror with a sense of pleasant surprise. She looked like someone she once knew, not too long ago...when she just stepped out of college, at 22! Perhaps, that's an exaggeration of how good she looked, but definitely she never thought she can look this good...again!

Oh, Beth's not dating Jason. With her new look, why settle for a man with less substance? Jorge is about Beth's age, loves the gym, too.

Reverse Aging The Natural Way (I)

by Markus Skupeika

How to look 10 years younger....the natural way.

Beth knew it was Jason and no other the first time she laid her eyes on him. Awkward to admit, but she was smitten by love at first sight! Jason carried himself like a true gentleman, with apparent class. His profession as a lawyer gave him an air of authority about him, but behind those gold-rimmed glasses was just a young man, in his 30s.

A May-December affair...

Beth was 40, and even felt "older" than her actual age. She knew she had to do something about it; otherwise the prospect of getting Jason's attention would grow dimmer as her eyesight had been these past few years. Blame it on the glare of her PC, or lack of Vitamin A, but in the stillness of her room, Beth knew, aging has finally hit her on the face.

Facial Skin Care Products cut a big chunk off Beth's budget, but she remains undaunted. She wants to look good for Jason. It's good her favorite online pharmacy has carried more selections, mostly Natural Skin Care Products. Online pharmacies are becoming the next best thing on the internet, as they provide unparalleled convenience and access to wider array of stocks for beauty and health care compared with traditional pharmacies and drug outlets. Free shipping of selected beauty products, possible too!

"Is a ten-year makeover impossible without drugs or cosmetics surgery?" That was Beth's first question when she committed herself to Perfect Fitness, a gym exclusively for women.

"Not at all" she was told. Contrary to popular belief that only surgery can take off years from a woman's total appearance, recent medical findings revealed that aging is also "reversible" by natural means.

By reversible, it does not mean to look like in the 20's again, but rather, just slow down the process of aging, as it may have set in prematurely for some.

How do you achieve beautiful skin?

by Judy Treherne

Did you know that our skin is the largest organ of our body? It accounts for approximately sixteen percent (16%) of an adult's overall weight. Its primary components are water (70%), proteins (25.5%) and fats (2.0%) It is a dynamic and living organ that sheds it outer layer through a process called exfoliation. Our skin actually replaces itself every twenty-seven days!

Skin performs a number of vital roles. * It is a barrier against micro-organisms and toxic compounds entering our body. * It permits a selective exchange of fluids necessary for our survival. * It is our natural radiator: by regulating our body's loss of fluids, our skin helps us to maintain our body temperature. * Skin is involved with our sense of touch as well as defines so much of the outer beauty we seek and desire.

Skincare is an important part of our overall health. Healthy skin is a foundation for the beauty we desire. It is important that the lotions, masques and creams that we use on our skin provide nutrition and healing for our skin. Any skin care regimen is only as good as the foundation you build.

Improper nutrition causes chaos for our skin and bodies as it increases free-radical oxidative stress. To ensure that we maintain optimal health, we should ensure we have a diet that has an adequate supply of antioxidants; maintain a healthy exercise regime and use good nutritional supplements.

A basic skincare regimen is relatively easy to start. First, cleanse your skin to remove any impurities, excess oils and dirt. Second, tone the skin and prepare it to accept nourishing agents. The toner removes lingering impurities, balances your skin's pH levels and helps sooth the effects of environmental exposure. Third, renew your skin to diminish the signs of aging and replenish your skin's moisture levels.

Cleansing the skin involves bathing the skin's surface with a gentle cleanser. * Avoid the use of strong soaps * Your face might feel "squeaky clean", that is because you have stripped away the protective oils from your skin. * Sucrose-based emollients and cleansers are preferred to ensure dermal hygiene. * Try to cleanse your skin with the minimum of disruption to your skin's natural pH balance.

Toning the skin completes the cleansing process by rinsing away any leftover impurities. * Skin pores are cleared by removing the excess oils. * Your skin becomes receptive to the nutrients which are added during the next stages of your regimen. * Your skin tightens with the application of a light astringent which draws your pore openings together. * Quality toners minimally impact your skin and include moisturizers (such as sodium PCA) to maintain your skin's hydration.

Renewing the skin with moisture is the final step in a skin care regimen * Deep moisturizers hydrate and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. * Stabilizing oils restore proper pH-balance. * Protective lipid emollients will nurture this balance and minimize dehydration until your next cleansing.

Moisturizing requirements differ from day and evening. * Daytime moisturizer should have an ability to protect your skin against oxidative stress. * A high quality moisturizer like defends your skin against oxidative stress, Ultraviolet A (UVA) and Ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation. This moisturizer contains vitamins, flavonoids and phytonutrients to nourish your skin as well as enhance its natural defence mechanisms. * Evening nourishment differs from the morning formula, as it uses your natural circadian rhythms to retexture and restore your skin and reduce signs of aging.

Healthy and beautiful skin is possible for anyone when you follow a consistent skin care regimen, use natural skin care products free of harmful chemicals and maintain your physical health through healthy eating, nutritional supplementation and exercise. ( http://www.tableandbathlinens.com)

Antioxidants: The Best Antiaging Secret

by Korbin Newlyn

For people trying to stay young within themselves both their heart and their spirit are what matters. However, staying young on the outside has its challenges. Keeping your skin looking young is certainly a daunting task. Many people are successful in achieving this without anyone else even knowing, and when various people inquire as to what their antiaging secret is, they would answer with 'antioxidants'.

Many of us have noticed this type of phenomenon on TV or perhaps on the Internet, yet we all ponder what this secret is all about. An antioxidant is a form of chemical that counteracts what are known as free radicals into non-toxic elements, so the primary effect is to stop the body's cells from being destroyed and contributing to the aging process. In the human body there is a process known as the oxidizing process. From this process radicals are produced from our body's cells oxidizing and consequently producing energy which is called metabolism in the process of their normal functioning.

Well-Known Food Sources

The reality is antioxidants are not an antiaging secret after all. They exist universally in our day to day life, in practically all natural food sources that can be found, ranging from numerous types of vegetables to fruits and seafoods to oils.

The reason that antioxidants are sometimes referred to as antiaging secrets is due to the fact that it assists in reducing the aging process, with one of the most notable benefits being that there are minimal side effects compared to other forms of supplements that promise a more youthful looking appearance for your skin.

There are many fruits that contain numerous antioxidants within them, some of which include but are not limited to cherries, melons, prunes, apples, Strawberries, mangoes, raspberries, cranberries, blueberries, blackberries, and nearly all types of plums. Various vegetables that contain antioxidants are artichokes, red ball pepper, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, cabbage, cantaloupe, beets, spinach as well as others. Fish as well as various other seafoods also contain many traces of antioxidants. Additionally, antioxidants (our antiaging secret) can be found in numerous types of oils, such as hazelnut, almond oil, sunflower oil, and safflower oil.

Antioxidant Vitamins

Essentially, what ever food incorporating any of vitamin B6, vitamin A, vitamin B12, vitamin E, vitamin C, Folic acid, carotene, or Selenium would include antioxidants within them. Because most of the products that we consume on a daily basis have these natural antioxidants within them we can confidently assert that the true antiaging secret is the all-natural foods that we eat on a daily basis.

In addition to assisting in slowing the aging process, antioxidants actually have numerous other benefits as well. They help with the prevention of various diseases such as chronic infections, cataracts, stroke, heart disease, cancer and even Alzheimer's disease.

Make-up can cause puffy eyes

by Janet Martin

Your eyes are the mirror to your soul and the first thing that people see. No wonder a lot of people are obsessed with having beautiful expressive eyes and they'll do anything to make them stand out.

But the road to vanity can lead to tragedy, especially if you're not picky about the kind of make-up or eye cosmetics you're using. Those endless rows of cosmetics found at big department stores may look like a dream come true for people who want to alter or improve their eyes. But they can spell disaster for those who aren't careful. In some cases, they can harm rather than help your eyes.

"Eye cosmetics are usually safe when you buy them, but misusing them can allow dangerous bacteria or fungi to grow in them. Then, when applied to the eye area, a cosmetic can cause an infection. In rare cases, women have been temporarily or permanently blinded by an infection from an eye cosmetic," warned the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition Office of Cosmetics and Colors.

What makes the eyes vulnerable to problems? First the skin around the eyes is thinner and contains fewer oils and sweat glands, making the area prone to dehydration that, in turn, can lead to wrinkles, crow's feet, dark circles, and other problems. Endless movements like blinking, squinting, laughing, crying, and continuous sun exposure are other factors that make your eyes look older and less attractive.

One common problem associated with using the wrong eye make-up is puffiness. Having puffy eyes can make you look haggard, tired and older than you really are. This is often caused by using the wrong mascara or eye cream.

"To help combat wrinkles and sagginess in this delicate area, one should remove eye make-up carefully (no pulling, tugging, or rubbing) with a soothing make-up remover and a soft cotton ball. Always move from the outside of eye underneath toward your nose and make a complete circle. And never, ever leave your house without wearing an eye product that hydrates and protects the eye area from ultraviolet damage," said beauty consultant Lori Van Wormer, wife of Dr. Mark Van Wormer, a laser surgeon and diplomat of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine. For fast relief from puffy eyes, Van Wormer recommends the following:

1. Check your mascara - it should be changed every 12 weeks due to the possible growth of bacteria. 2. If you wake up with puffy eyes, you could be using too much eye cream. In this case, less is best. 3. Check your eye make-up removal routine - it could be too rigorous. If you are using tissue to remove eye make-up, the microscopic splintery fibers can be irritating the skin around the eye. Switch to a soft cotton ball instead.

4. Sleep with your head elevated and try not to drink too many fluids before bedtime. Reducing your salt intake can help eliminate puffiness as well.

One promising product for puffy eyes is Eyevive which is available at http://www.eyevive.com. This product contains special ingredients that can reduce or eliminate dark circles, fine lines, crow's feet, and wrinkles to make you look young and refreshed. Eyevive eye cream is specially formulated to strengthen the tiny blood vessels around the eyes so you can look your best.
